Bristol Anglo -Filipino Festival The Bristol Anglo -Filipino Festival was a great success and was held on Sunday 31st July 2005. Luckily for us the rain held off and an enjoyable day was had by all. The Festival was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Peter Abraham who was impressed by the array of Traditional Philippine foods and ice cream on display.
The programme was orchestrated by Albert Regalado (Miss Geraldine) which included Europhil plus a few local artists and Viva la Diva, a Bath based Jazz band especially formed for this event.
We like to thank all of the Performers and Stands for taking part in our first festival, hopefully of many.
Ashton Court Estate Close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge is this beautiful estate. It has 850 beautiful acres of park and woodland, with excellent views across South Bristol. There are a number of excellent nature trails where you can see red deer grazing at close quarters. There is a beautiful 16th Century Mansion House and plenty of open spaces for picnicking or just enjoying a walk. Here are some photographs of the location:
